An AI receptionist for home health and hospice agencies
CuraVoice answers your agency's line when your team cannot, takes referrals as they come in, and connects families and facilities to the right person without a round of phone tag.
The shape of the problem
Your clinicians are in patients' homes, not at a desk. The office is small, and the phone carries everything at once: a hospital discharge planner with a referral, a daughter asking when the nurse is coming, a facility reporting a change, a physician's office returning a call, a supplier, a payer. A referral that goes to voicemail may go to another agency. A family that cannot reach anyone remembers it.
How CuraVoice helps
- Every call is answered at once, including when several arrive together and when the office is closed.
- Referrals are captured while the referrer is on the line. The details are taken and filed for intake, so the first response is immediate even when your intake coordinator is busy.
- Families reach the right team. Calls about a current patient are routed using the directory you keep of teams, territories or facilities, and warm-transferred with a short introduction for your staff member.
- Concerns about a patient go to a person. The AI gives no clinical advice. It connects the caller and flags the call.
- Nothing disappears. If a transfer is not picked up, the caller is told someone will call back and the call goes on a list for your team to work.
What you can see
A log of every call with its recording, transcript and reason, where it was sent, and whether a person answered. Over a few weeks that shows you when your lines are busiest, which teams are hardest to reach, and how many callers were waiting on a call-back.
What it does not do
It does not schedule visits in your EHR or read from it, and it does not triage symptoms. Those stay with your staff.
Common questions
Can an AI receptionist take a home health or hospice referral?
It can collect the referral details a referring office gives by phone, such as the patient's name, date of birth, contact details, residence, insurance and the care requested, and file them for your intake team. If the referrer would rather talk to a person, it connects them to intake.
What does it do with an urgent call from a family member?
It does not triage. A caller describing an emergency is told to call 911. Any other concern about a patient's condition is connected to a person on your team straight away and the call is flagged, so it cannot sit unnoticed in a voicemail box.
Can it cover nights and weekends?
Yes. It can answer overflow during office hours and the whole line after hours, with a separate routing plan for each, for example sending clinical concerns to your on-call line at night.
Start with after-hours or overflow
A simple way to begin is to send us the calls nobody is there to answer, then decide what else to route.
