AI for Claim Status Calls to Insurance Companies
CuraVoice places claim status calls to payers, works through the phone menu, waits on hold, and brings your biller in when a representative answers.
The problem
Claim status follow-up is the largest block of phone time in most billing offices. Payer portals answer some of it, but the claims that matter most, the ones that are stuck, usually need a person at the payer.
How the call runs
- Each claim in your list is matched to its payer and the right provider-services line.
- The agent selects the claim status path in the payer's menu.
- It enters the provider and member identifiers by touch-tone.
- It holds until a representative answers, then brings your biller onto the call.
What your staff do
Your biller asks the questions, records the answer and decides the next step. The agent has done the dialing, the menu and the wait.
Getting started
The agent works from a CSV export of your work queue, so no integration is needed to begin. Every call is recorded and logged with its outcome. See how payer calling works.
Common questions
Why not use the payer portal?
Use it where it answers the question. Phone follow-up is for claims where the portal shows nothing useful, such as a claim not on file, pended without a reason, or denied with a vague code.
Does the AI speak to the payer representative?
By default, no. When a live representative answers, your staff member is warm-transferred into the call to have the conversation.
